Readers2Leaders Dalton/Whitfield

Since 2012, government, education, business, and civic leaders in the Greater Dalton-Whitfield area have worked together to enhance literacy in our community. Under the banner of Readers to Leaders (R2L), backed by the Education is Essential Foundation 501 (c) (3), people are investing in the community’s youngest learners and shepherding them to be successful in school and in life. By emphasizing the importance of having books in the home, aggressively approaching early literacy in the schools, and creating supportive and enhancing activities outside the classroom, R2L hopes to nurture all students into becoming leaders in their families, the workplace and community.
